Gen Con Indy 2013Housing and Travel Information
Gen Con Housing BlockEach year we partner with a wide variety of hotels in downtown Indianapolis to secure the best rates possible for Gen Con attendees. Rates vary by hotel, but gamers should find attractive rates when they reserve their hotel room inside the Gen Con housing block. The block will open for reservations at Noon (Eastern) on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Hotel Registration dates are also advertised in our email blasts and can be found on the Registration page under “Key Dates”. Check out the Hotel Information page for a listing of the hotels inside the Gen Con housing block. Booking a Hotel Room OnlineAny attendee wishing to reserve a room in the Gen Con housing block must first purchase a badge through our online registration system, once Badge Registration has opened. The purchase confirmation email will include a housing access code and information about the online reservation system, managed by the ICVA Housing Bureau. The housing code will allow the purchaser to reserve a room online or by phone while inventory lasts. PLEASE NOTE: Attendees MUST have a housing access code in order to book their hotel reservations in the Gen Con block. Housing codes are automatically issued when you purchase a badge for Gen Con Indy. The Housing BureauIf you have questions regarding your hotel reservation, need to make a cancellation or are curious about the housing waitlist, contact the Housing Bureau’s Customer Care Center. Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Eastern) Gen Con Travel SupportGen Con LLC has partnered with the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) to provide attendees with a convenient, reliable and affordable means of arranging travel. The new service is dubbed “Gen Con Travel Support”. Users of the new site have the convenience of booking a broad selection of flights, rental cars, travel packages, and even supplemental lodging. Lodging offered via Gen Con Travel Support does not share the hotel selection offered inside the Gen Con housing block. Because Gen Con block housing is contracted at fixed, group discount rates, block rooms must be booked through the Housing Bureau via the online reservations portal, by email or by phone. Supplemental housing outside the “Gen Con block” is sourced through Expedia and made available through the Travel Support center.
