Rio Grande Games to Continue as Co-Sponsor at Gen Con 50

SEATTLE (December 13, 2016) Gen Con, the longest-running gaming convention in North America, has reached an agreement with Rio Grande Games to return as one of the show’s three Co-Sponsors for Gen Con 50 (2017). Game publisher Rio Grande Games first participated as a Co-Sponsor at Gen Con 2016. As a Co-Sponsor, Rio Grande Games will have their own dedicated space inside the Indiana Convention Center, during Gen Con 50.

“For 50 years, Gen Con has provided a great place for the entire gaming community to gather and connect,” said Jay Tummelson, co-owner of Rio Grande Games. “The Rio Grande team is proud to have been a part of this and looks forward to our continued Co-Sponsorship with Gen Con. As always, we will provide a private room for players to play the Rio Grande games they know and learn the games they do not know. And, of course, only a Gen Con badge is needed to play in our room.”

Along with their dedicated gaming area, as a Co-Sponsor, Gen Con will offer the gaming publisher additional pre-show promotion, on-site graphics, and other marketing opportunities.

“Rio Grande Games delivers a first-class experience to attendees, and we greatly enjoy partnering with them,” said Megan Culver, Gen Con’s Director of Exhibitor Development. “Their award-winning gaming catalog, commitment to customer service, and strong attention to detail make them an outstanding long-term partner for Gen Con.”

Gen Con will return to Indianapolis on August 17-20, 2017, to celebrate its historic 50th convention.
