Title:
Truth is Cooler than Fiction: Using Your Community's Hidden History as Inspiration for Your Campaign
Short Description:
Make your campaign unforgettable using resources in your own backyard - the history, stories, and legacy of your own community!
Long Description:
This workshop will highlight how to find and utilize the quirky history, unsung heroes, and spooky spots of your own hometown to create characters, adventures, and settings that will thrill your players. We’ll talk about utilizing physical structures and landmarks so your players will be reminded of your adventures as they pass that haunted water tower. You also have the chance to lift up incredible local figures who’s stories might not be as well known. The workshop focuses on how to do this responsibly, with an eye to centering the stories of marginalized folks.
