Wonder if we should start a thread for planned but non-GenCon affiliated games happening Sunday night?

That's a great idea!

We gamed Sunday evening last year with the Rear Guard gaming group at a meeting room in the JW. SUCH a great time. It was a mixed bag of games, but wonderful people and the perfect way to wind the Con down.

That sounds perfect!  I wonder if they are going to do something similar?  Did you just stumble onto this, or did you have it planned?  How did you find out about them?
Hey guys! I think I'd like to get the room together again this year for Rear Guard. I'm no longer at the JW, but just called in a favor and I think I can make it work. Would you be in?

Absolutely!  I plan to do as many GenCon activities as possible on Sunday, but I'm free after 4.  I'm staying downtown so anywhere near the ICC is fair game (pun intended).  Flying out Monday morning.

My group usually grabs a relaxing meal right after the Convention Center
wind down, then showers and quick Scotch toast to another awesome year.
Then maybe hit a bar or 2 ALWAYS ending up at and usually closing Slippery
Noodle. Lot's of laughter and discussion about our Gencon experience.

We all leave Monday late morning, early afternoon, them to Toronto,
and me back to Chicago.

Maybe I can talk my folks into a pop in at Rear Guard this year.
Sounds right up our alley.
