Throw away your rulers! This workshop will walk you through the basics of draping as a method of designing garments. Work in three dimensions to learn how patterns can be fitted directly on the body.
Long Description:
In this class, we will discuss the difference between draping and flat patterning, what situations call for what, and the fundamental concepts behind draping. We will then walk through the steps together on a miniature scale, including how to incorporate custom design elements while patterning on the form.
