At first it was just a sense of being watched, then it was movements out of the corner of my eye, shapes darting around corners. I talked to a uniform from the Civil Management Authority after someone tried to crack my home intranet, but she just told me I was being paranoid. But yesterday, when I boarded the monorail to the beachfront, there was a man staring at me from across the car. I didn’t break his gaze for three stops. How could I look away when the face staring back at me was my own?
