Long Description:
The bell tower tolls midnight, and another deadly fire claims the lives of innocent truefolk. The deadly arsonist, salaciously dubbed “The Midnight Blaze,” strikes again. Without a target, the mob justice of the shivaree is fruitless, and the Piedmont Accord bizarrely refuses to take on the case. It is up to the amateur sleuths at the Fellowship of Invested Citizens to step in. Far from isolated incidents, the fellowship discovers a web of conspiracy and vendetta touching every strata of society, from the Dorcha Crime Syndicate to the Rivet and Bellows Union to the great aristocratic houses themselves. It isn’t long before the detectives find themselves as much the target of the deadly arsonist as the Truefolk they swore to protect. They must contend not only with the machinations of humanity, but the ever present preternatural threat of the Ruin itself.
