Learn the basics of bowie knife fighting as a Historical European Martial Arts
Long Description:
This workshop will teach students how to hold a bowie knife correctly, how to stand, step and strike with the knife. Additional historical information and information about more advanced techniques will be discussed. Participants will need to sign a martial arts waiver to participate. Participants will receive a rubberized synthetic bowie trainer as part of their registration fee. This bowie trainer will be marked with high visibility tape to show that it is not a real weapon. Students and instructors will not be coming into contact with each other in this course. This course is intended to instruct in stance, grip, stepping and swinging a bowie knife properly.
