Short Description:
Venice, 1521 CE. The City of Masks is awash with Carnevale, and the adventurers are hired to find a missing Murano glassmaker before the government does, and uncover a plot with dire ramifications.
Long Description:
The secrets of the glassmaking industry on the island of Murano are jealously guarded: there is no leaving the island without government permission, and anyone who is discovered selling secrets to a competing kingdom will be quickly silenced. Despite the danger of breaking Venice's rules, a prominent glassmaker is missing: and what he is working on could shake the fragile balance of power in the Mediterranean, or perhaps even shatter reality itself. The adventurers are hired to find him and, if necessary, end him. However, jobs are rarely this cut and dry, and knowing who to trust in the City of Masks can be perilous.
This adventure for 5th level characters takes place in the Historica Arcanum universe, where real history meets dark fantasy. The setting is the Republic of Venice in the early 16th century CE. Pre-generated characters will be provided.
