FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDIANAPOLIS (February 22, 2019) Gen Con, the largest and longest-running tabletop game convention in North America, has signed a multiyear agreement with HotBox Pizza as the Official Pizza of Gen Con for the upcoming 2019, 2020, and 2021 conventions. HotBox, a popular local chain of pizzerias, will operate outdoor pizza tents on Georgia St. and South St. during each convention.

“Our partnership with Gen Con has become one of our most treasured relationships,” said Gabe Connell, Founder of HotBox Pizza, “The Gen Con team is truly a pleasure to work with, as are the thousands and thousands of attendees who visit our great city of Indianapolis every August. We are appreciative of the opportunity to be the Official Pizza of Gen Con and look forward to many, many more years of involvement with such an incredible organization and amazing event.”

HotBox will offer a signature Gen Con pizza during this year’s convention, with the final choice of the limited-edition pie to be made by Gen Con’s fans in a contest on social media this spring.

“Nothing goes together better than gaming and pizza, and the same can be said of Gen Con’s long and mutually beneficial partnership with HotBox,” said Megan Culver, Gen Con’s Senior Director of Sales & Marketing. “Our attendees’ hunger for great games is matched only by their hunger for great pizza, and we are proud to serve delicious slices of HotBox as the Official Pizza of Gen Con for the next three years.”

Gen Con returns to Indianapolis August 1-4, 2019.
