No matter how many times I go to Gen Con I  start getting excited about a month out.  Going back and reviewing games, shopping lists, etc. helps work some of that out and this year I've added Nelly's 2016 videos (see below).  If you've never been this may help show you the scale and pace of the Con for those of you who attended last year you may see yourselves.

A month out?!  I've been excited since January at least!  A month is when I stop being productive at work and begin imagining what I'll be doing at that same day/time at GenCon!!  Wahoo

I am on the non productive train as well.  Thankfully (?) I have a work trip next week for training...hope they aren't expecting a high level of retention, lol.

So wonderful to see these videos! I am now a Gen Con Day -2 person (yes, I start on Monday). Surprisingly, I'm not the only one! But by Day -1, you can find pickup games. And Day 0 - well, that's basically a full day of Gen Con now!

I am finally joining you this year, AdamW; I have been wanting to start by Tuesday (at least) for several years, and I finally just decided NO MAN CAN STOP ME and will be there Monday.  Same hotel as my Wednesday-Sunday reservation; now to try to talk the staff into letting my room merge into my actual-convention companion's!  Haha.

I might just be overcompensating for having to miss last year.  But I bet it will be amazing.
