On the host page they list the dates for event submission And it starts may 9th and ends June 5th

About time!

Step in the right direction. But we have a mile to run.

They usually make badges available about the same time, so this is good. And if they keep going, event reg, mid to late June?

It would make sense that badges will go on sale after May 16, which is the final day for people to roll their 2021 badges over to 2022.  Since they will then know how many "first served" attendees there will be, they can determine how many badges to make available for new purchases to fit the scaled-down numbers for this year.
