I realize tickets have been mailed, but is there a way to ‘return’ or cancel a ticket when it’s been requested by the game host? It’s to keep the balance of the game 1:1 kids and parents, which makes sense, I’d just like to be able to get the time slot released so my husband can plan something else.

Unless it's an E-Ticket, which it appears not to be you will need to return the ticket onsite at the Customer Service kiosk.
Once we begin printing and mailing packets all tickets are locked unless the event is completely cancelled.
