Advertising Tips for Last Minute Events
Posted by experimentalgamer

Hello fellow GMs. We were lucky to get our interactive adventure/escape room (Secret Aboard Starship Astraeus events listed and we're excited to have these events at Gencon.  But it looks like we're having trouble selling tickets.  In my experience, events that are available when events initially go live sell out right away, but it becomes very difficult to get events noticed after that.

Any suggestions on getting some notice this late in the calendar?

Post here in the Events section, make an announcement on the unofficial Fans of Gen Con Facebook page, same with the official Discord page.  Note that folks with paper tickets won’t be able to return those until the convention, so you will likely get some late adds if people want to change to your event once things kick off.

Thank you for these suggestions

Playing whack-a-mole with the spammers would be a lot more fun if there was a hammer involved.

Or a flamethrower.

Oh neat, they can still edit their posts and re-add Spam after you remove them, that is an exciting wrinkle on this whole thing.  Unless that was the post to start, which would be kind of brilliant

Hmm, Mike should have banned them, which would put a stop to their shenanigans. I'll check with him.
