Gen Con Museum - Lucas Oil

Hi All,

May be a dumb question but I want to ask anyway.  Last year was my FIRST Gen Con and I have been hooked.  I, did however, miss out on the Museum that was setup at Lucas Oil Stadium and I kick myself every time I think about it.  Does anyone know if it will be there again this year or was it a one time "50th Anniversary" deal only?

Thanks!

There is a really cool book that documents much Gencon History.  It's a little outdated, but the first 40 years have not changed in the last 11.

We missed the museum as well, only found out about it watching Youtube videos after GenCon last year. Sorry to hear it won't be returning.

Honestly, I was less than impressed by that last year. I am not sure you really missed much.

I had a lot of fun going through it with my wife, but I enjoyed pointing out museum items that I have a copy of, the stuff from when I started gaming (early 80s) and my first Gen Cons (mid 90s).

My group had more fun pointing out the items that we have that they didn't show (chits from early D&D, Tiamat TSR LJN toy...)

Rumor has it that it's returning for the 100th Anniversary.

Oh, and it's going to be twice as large.

The original convention center and stadium will be done just as they were last year as an honor to Gen Con 100's small beginning before it took over all of Indygame Downtown.
