is there a way to get events I'm running to show on my calendar on the site along with the ones I'm attending?

1. The subject line for a forum thread is for the topic, not your name.
   
2. There is an EO/GM Dashboard that displays events that you have submitted and your homepage displays events you have tickets to. There is no way to display events you are listed as the GM for, and there is no unified calendar, unfortunately.
   

Very strange that my name ended up in the subject line.
I wonder if there was some strange autofill in on my iphone.
How do I change it now?

Do you see a button to "edit topic" at the very top of the thread?

Nope. I see an Edit button for the top post.
(Tried both iphone /Safari and Mac / Chrome)

Also, I take that a unified schedule has already been suggested (preferably with one you can add your own time slots to for outside events) ??

Looks like it's admin-only.

And a schedule manager would certainly be a neat feature, but it's certainly not high priority, honestly. There are lots of other features we would like to get to first.
